DR. MALCOLM HULATT

Hulatt Consulting is led by Malcolm Hulatt who has spent many years in the consulting, nuclear, detergent and petrochemical industries, mostly the latter in a range of project, engineering, research, design and development posts in both technical and managerial roles.  He will either work on activities himself or draw on support from associates as appropriate.  He has been working successfully under the banner of Hulatt Consulting since 2002.  He has good coaching and team building skills and global experience of working in Europe, USA, Middle East and the Far East.

He is an experienced technology and project management consultant with a strong business focus and broad experience in the areas outlined above.

Technology Management

Over 25 years experience leading plant, project and R&T technical teams to deliver high performance in an international environment through clear focus on objectives and a rigorous approach to delivery. Extremely strong technology bias with core skill of technology strategy development, evaluation, development and delivery of technology programs (product and process) and any corresponding capital projects.

Coaching and Performance Management

Experienced in target setting, broad team building and providing both personal and team coaching to achieve exceptional results in capital project and technology program delivery.

Business Venture and Project Management

Experience of all phases of project selection, definition and delivery in both technical and business roles including IPA (Independent Project Analysis Inc) benchmarking and focused project improvement. Experience of many leading contractors and different approaches to projects. Has led the preparation of process design packages for technology transfer in licensing and negotiated the receipt of process packages from others.

Engineering

Broad process and detailed engineering experience. Extensive experience of process development .

Global Perspective & Experience

He has supported projects and business activities across Europe, USA, UAE, Indonesia, China and Malaysia. Proven track record dealing with external companies including leading a technology transfer from Japan, technology transfer to Malaysia and China and developing technology cooperation agreements in USA and Germany.
